Position Purpose:
The Logistics / Supply Chain Management Intern will support the Warehouse team in achieving 3 – 4 key strategic objectives planned for 2026. Thes initiatives span across improving operational efficiency, maximizing space utilization and exploring future forward automation technologies. As Lindt continues to scale, the intern will contribute to the transformation of warehouse operations toward a Just In Time delivery model and flow through distribution strategy. This role offers hands on experience in optimizing slotting strategies, refining case picking layouts, evaluating advanced automation solutions such as AGV’s and ASRS and enhancing the use of manufacturing warehouse space for raw materials, packaging and semi-finished chocolate. Looking for a candidate with strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and propose actionable solutions.
What To Expect as a Lindtern:
Our twelve-week Lindternship program offers hands-on experience allowing undergraduate and graduate students to gain practical skills and contribute to projects that directly impact our business. During the summer, interns will be paired with a mentor, attend professional career development workshops/sessions and attend networking events to meet additional team members.
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:
Slotting Strategy Optimization
- Support updating the slotting strategy to deploy A, B & C items efficiently during peak production.
- Analyze SKU velocity and storage requirements to recommend slotting and put away adjustments.
- Collaborate with Warehouse Supervision and Planning Team to implement changes and monitor impact.
Manufacturing Warehouse Space Utilization
- Support team in defining optimal use of space for raw materials, packaging and semi-finished chocolate.
- Assist in developing zoning strategies for FIFO, allergen and temperature control and production staging.
Technology Integration Research
- Explore integration options for Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV’s) and Automated Storage & Retrieval Systems (ASRS).
- Work with Engineering and Warehouse team to prepare summary reports and present findings to operations leadership.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Experience:
- Prior internship or coursework experience in logistics or warehouse operations is preferred but not required.
- Demonstrated proficiency with a computer and with MS software.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Ability to work cross functionally with warehouse, manufacturing and planning teams.
- Interest in warehouse automation and emerging technologies (AGV, ASRS, WMS)
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong Project Management skills.
- Experience with certain tools, platforms, etc.
Education:
- Be a Junior or Senior enrolled in an accredited University Degree Program - Preferably with a focus on Logistics or Supply Chain
Other Requirements:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for documenting findings and presenting recommendations.
- Comfortable working in a team setting and engaging with warehouse operators, supervisors and leadership.
Total Rewards:
Compensation Range: $20 an hour

Lindt USA’s salary range reflects market rates based on our size, revenue, and location. Starting pay is determined using a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience as well as market conditions. A bonus and/or long-term incentive may be included a s part of this compensation package.
