Position Purpose

The person in this position plays a crucial role in the finance team, focusing on cost accounting, manufacturing analysis, purchase price variances, volume forecasting, and managing the budgeting and forecast processes. This position requires a blend of analytical expertise, strategic thinking, and collaborative skills to drive financial performance and support business objectives. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the coordination of the budgeting process, performing monthly, and annual closings, conducting detailed variance analysis, preparing comprehensive financial reports, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the information system, monitoring and improving financial procedures, and communicating critical issues and insights to Senior Management in a timely manner. Additionally, this role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and providing financial guidance to enhance decision-making processes.

Essential Job Functions/Key Accountabilities

Manufacturing Analytics:

  • Manage and oversee the cost accounting function, ensuring accurate tracking, and reporting of standard costs.
  • Analyze cost data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost reduction.
  • Monitor and analyze purchase price variances, identifying root causes and potential impacts.
  • Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to manage and mitigate variances.
  • Develop and maintain volume forecasting models to predict future production and sales volumes.
  • Work closely with planning and operations teams to ensure accurate and reliable forecasts.
  • Work closely with the production teams to ensure continuous improvement and identify areas for improvement.

Budget and Latest Estimate (LE) Process:

  • Coordinate the Annual and Latest Estimate budgeting process with assigned business groups and ensure targets and timelines are met.
  • Consolidate all financial information; analyze results, and present financials to senior management for approval.
  • Demonstrate shared ownership in partnership with assigned business groups to comply with, meet or exceed budgetary commitments.
  • Lead the month/year-end closing processes for assigned business groups, performing P&L variance analysis, and completing required schedules.

Position Qualifications

Skills & Knowledge

  • Expert in Excel and proficient in PowerPoint, Word, and an ERP (SAP) system
  • Must have solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills
  • Proven understanding of processes & procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively partner with and advise assigned business groups to achieve desired results
  • Presentation skills

Experience

  • Minimum 7+ years financial experience
  • 4+ years financial experience in financial planning and analysis, with experience in Business Intelligence is preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Business intelligence, MS software and an ERP system.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • MBA/Master’s degree preferred.

Total Rewards:

Compensation Range: $87,750 - $110,500.00

Lindt USA’s salary range reflects market rates based on our size, revenue, and location. Starting pay is determined using a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience as well as market conditions. A bonus and/or long-term incentive may be included as part of this compensation package.
