Position Purpose:

The Quality Systems Specialist will perform a variety of tasks to help ensure the Quality Management System is maintained and meets all relevant requirements. This includes overseeing the company-wide corrective action program, coordinating the Internal Auditing program, providing support for external audits, and compiling quality assurance data for reporting. In addition, this role will provide support to the Senior Supply Chain QA Engineer and Supply Chain QA Engineer roles as needed.

This is a hybrid role that requires three days per week in our Stratham, NH corporate office.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:

Quality Systems Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the Corrective Action/Preventive Action process, including: entering corrective actions into the relevant system, assigning and reviewing action plans, performing verifications/effectiveness checks and collaborating with process owners to ensure corrective actions are completed in a timely manner.
  • Ensure new employees across the organization receive relevant Quality Systems training and support development of new training &/or update trainings as needed.
  • Coordinate the Internal Audit program to ensure internal audits are scheduled, performed, and documented to verify the effectiveness of our food safety and quality systems. Ensure resulting corrective actions are completed in a timely and effective manner.
  • Support in the preparation and company-wide readiness for ISO surveillance and re-certification audits.

Supply Chain Complaint

  • Enter Internal and Supplier complaints from retail, co-pack, Lindt subsidiaries and other customers into appropriate system.
  • Coordinate with QA Supply Chain Engineers to ensure complaints are investigated, dispositioned (if applicable), and communicated in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate Lindt US Intercompany complaints concerning products we import.
  • Provide support for completion of AQL evaluations on all co-pack related projects such as ship tests, new imported items, etc. as needed.

Quality Assurance Data

  • Assist with maintenance and continuous improvement of the ETQ Reliance system.
  • Support SAP and other Quality Management Systems software improvement projects and provide training for end-users as needed.
  • Review open holds/notifications on a weekly basis and communicate with Quality and Food Safety teams to ensure they are completed in a timely manner.
  • Gather and analyze all Quality performance and Corrective Action data as needed in alignment with internal stakeholder requirements, (such as updating daily, weekly and monthly) ensuring data integrity. Provide data to External Quality Systems Manager for final review and reporting.
  • Upload relevant documents to systems such as Trace Gains and Repositrak per customer requests.
  • Coordinate bi-annual FDA Registration process for Lindt (USA) and sister sites around the globe.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Strong analytical skills & knowledge
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experienced and comfortable with delivering short training sessions to other departments.
  • Experience with using QMS Software, such as ETQ Reliance. (preferred)

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business administration or similar field.
  • ISO 9001 and/or GFSI (FSSC 22000 preferred) Lead Auditor Certification (preferred)
  • HACCP Certification (preferred)
  • PCQI certification (preferred)

Other Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing and/or corporate environment (food industry-specific experience preferred).
  • Experience with and an understanding of documentation in a regulated field such as ISO, HACCP, FDA 21 CFR 117, GFSI (i.e., FSSC 22000)
  • Working knowledge of SAP ERP system (SAP Quality Module preferred)
  • Travel up to 5%.

Compensation Range: $26.00 - $34.00 per hour

Lindt USA’s salary range reflects market rates based on our size, revenue, and location. Starting pay is determined using a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience as well as market conditions. A bonus and/or long-term incentive may be included as part of this compensation package.
