Position Purpose:

The Master Data Analyst is responsible for developing, standardizing and maintaining Lindt product master and business partner data within various systems, including Devex, SAP, and One World Sync.  They are responsible for all aspects of the SAP product master data to support production and manufacturing activities.  This individual will also work closely with the business owners to ensure master data integrity in key systems and maintain the processes to support the data quality.  They will also support the Master Data Manager in developing and maintain master data management standards, processes and governance.  Additionally, the role will manage, manipulate and analyze complex data sets and consolidate results to continuously improve and validate the quality of data and data process, thereby ensuring the integrity of Master Data.

This is a hybrid role that requires three days per week in our Stratham, NH corporate office.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:

Policy Setting and Governance

  • Develop, document and maintain product master data management standards, enforce data governance procedures and guarantee data integrity across systems.
  • Assist Master Data Manager in defining standard operating procedures, process flows and related documentation as it relates to product master data governance, item setup, product change and discontinuation.
  • Ensure the team adheres to GS1 standards for item setup and product changes.
  • Lead execution of product change projects. Impose standard operating procedures with cross-functional teams and ensure systems and bill of materials are set up to allow for a seamless transition.
  • Interface and drive process improvements for product master data with other departments to ensure consistency and integrity of data.
  • Adhere to internal procedures and controls as required by ISO standards.

Data Analysis and Continuous Improvement

  • Responsible for accurate and precise product master data in SAP, including specifications, bill of material and unit of measure data, to support production and manufacturing activities. Quickly resolve any issues that may surface and resolve for future production.
  • Initiate and lead the annual BOM reviews with the cross functional team to ensure all items have been setup correctly.
  • Verify in partnership with key members of the Production Team, that entered routing data is reflected accurately in the system.
  • Drive the functional leaders, IT experts and process teams to analyze systems for errors, troubleshoot integration issues and eliminate duplicate data entries.  Make end to end process recommendations or improvements.
  • Lead the product master data role through system integrations and upgrades (One Sync, SAP, etc.) Ensure requirements and processes support the established master data governance and controls.
  • Drive IT and business partners to perform mass data updates and cleansing activities in Devex, SAP and One Sync to support the continuous improvement of master data standards.
  • Analyze weekly and monthly reports for inconsistencies and potential issues.
  • Deliver testing support for new system enhancements and integrations with a high degree of quality.

Communication:

  • Initiate and promote open and clear communication channels with cross-functional team members and/or stakeholders to establish and maintain a realistic understanding of product master data requirements.
  • Drive adoption of data governance processes by conducting periodic trainings and workshops and provide recommendations using industry best practices.
  • Provide updates to senior management on status of projects, key performance indicators and root cause analysis.
  • Communicate and network between cross-functional teams to understand new business requirements and the impact on product master data processes and governance.
  • Track item setup progress. Identify priority items, raise potential risks and work with cross functional teams to expedite completion

Qualifications & Requirements:

Skills & Knowledge:

  • 2-3 years’ experience working in a Food / CPG environment is a plus
  • General understanding of new product development and standard costing
  • General understanding of GS1 and industry master data standards
  • Working knowledge of SAP or equivalent
  • Proficient in Excel and Word
  • Must have solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Mathematical skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy; focus on quality output
  • Ability to learn internal software systems/processes
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, set and manage expectations in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated commitment to teamwork and internal client service orientation

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree required

Total Rewards:

Compensation Range: $64,000 - $83,400

Lindt USA’s salary range reflects market rates based on our size, revenue, and location. Starting pay is determined using a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience as well as market conditions. A bonus and/or long-term incentive may be included as part of this compensation package.
