What To Expect as a Lindtern:

Our 6 Month - Lindternship program offers hands-on experience allowing undergraduate and graduate students to gain practical skills and contribute to projects that directly impact our business. During the summer, interns will be paired with a mentor, attend professional career development workshops/sessions and attend networking events to meet additional team members.

This Position:

You will play a critical role in supporting the Industrial Performance Department and contributing to the continuous improvement initiatives within Lindt USA. This internship will provide a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience in process optimization, data analysis, problem solving, leadership, and working closely with all supporting departments and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Support Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) Program Lindt Performance Way (LPW)

  • Assist Continuous Improvement Engineer by participating in continuous improvement activities.
  • This includes helping improvement teams launch, data analysis, and assisting with problem solving events.
  • Support improvement teams and projects utilizing a suite of continuous improvement techniques (Lean, Six Sigma, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)

Support Industrial Engineering Initiatives

  • Cost saving initiatives.
  • Labor and Material analysis
  • Changeover improvement
  • Data Analytics and visualization
  • Process improvements

Problem identification and resolution

  • Participate and lead improvement activities (Kaizens).
  • Work with and train team members to identify problems, follow steps to implement actions, and improve processes to ensure no recurrences of the problem.
  • Assist with improvement teams and initiatives to streamline process(es) and reduce losses (i.e. downtime, waste, rework, etc.).

Cross-Functional Collaboration and Training

  • Collaborate with various departments and teams to gather insights and input as part of improvement projects.
  • Act as a liaison between different stakeholders to ensure alignment and success of continuous improvement efforts.
  • Develop training materials and help deliver training to further ensure production goals are met through the LPW process.

Qualifications:

  • In order to qualify candidates must be willing to commit to a 6-month program (June 2nd - November 21, 2025) 

Experience:

  • Willingness to learn and help deliver premium results to our TPM Process
  • Preferred: Experience with TPM methodology, Six Sigma training or experience.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • Detail – oriented with a focus on process optimization and data analysis.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, PowerBi, Enterprise Software)
  • A strong desire to learn and contribute to continuous improvement.

Education & Certifications:

  • Enrolled in a engineering, or operations management program

Compensation:

$20 per hour

Lindt USA’s salary range reflects market rates based on our size, revenue, and location. Starting pay is determined using a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience as well as market conditions. A bonus and/or long-term incentive may be included as part of this compensation package.
