Position Purpose:

The Senior Packaging Designer (Temp) will play a key role in elevating Lindt’s brand presence across packaging and retail experiences. Reporting to the Senior Creative Manager, this role will be responsible for designing and executing innovative packaging, POS, and display solutions that align with brand guidelines, elevate consumer experience, and meet retailer requirements.

The ideal candidate will bring significant experience in packaging and brand design, strong 3D visualization capabilities, and the ability to oversee and maintain packaging style guides. While direct consumer packaged goods experience is a plus, it is not required. This is a hands-on, highly skilled design role that also contributes to strengthening processes and standards.

This is a hybrid role that requires three days per week in our Stratham, NH corporate office.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities

Packaging & POS Design

  • Concept, design, and develop packaging, corrugate displays, and POS materials that reflect Lindt’s premium brand positioning.
  • Create impactful 3D renderings and structural packaging mockups using IC3D/Esko Studio.
  • Translate brand identity into design solutions across seasonal and core programs, ensuring consistency at every touchpoint.
  • Prepare and release print-ready files in alignment with printer specifications and retailer style guides.

Style Guide Management

  • Maintain and evolve packaging and POS style guides, ensuring consistent application across all design outputs.
  • Update and distribute brand assets, templates, and visual standards for internal teams and external partners.
  • Ensure adherence to style guides across multiple SKUs, product lines, and retailer formats.

Collaboration & Execution

  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Print Production, and Sales to ensure design solutions meet creative, commercial, and operational objectives.
  • Present design solutions, articulate rationale, and incorporate feedback with agility.
  • Support the Senior Creative Manager in raising the bar on design craft and mentoring design resources when needed.

Process & Workflow

  • Maintain strict version control across multiple SKUs and formats.
  • Ensure timely delivery of design assets that meet deadlines and budget requirements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of creative workflows, tools, and best practices.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Skills & Knowledge:

  • 7–10 years of professional design experience, ideally within packaging, agency, or in-house CPG environments.
  • Demonstrated expertise in brand design and packaging, supported by a strong portfolio of packaging, POS, and/or retail work.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
  • Advanced skills in 3D packaging software.
  • In-depth understanding of typography, layout, color, and print production requirements.
  • Strong ability to lead design projects from concept to production while managing complexity across SKUs and markets.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and vendors.

Education:

  • BA/BFA in Graphic Design/Visual Communication, Packaging, or related field (or equivalent experience).
