Position Purpose:

We are seeking a highly analytical and forward-thinking Production Planner to manage and optimize integrated production planning for both finished and semi-finished goods. This role requires a strong foundation in advanced analytics, forecasting, and model-driven decision-making to develop efficient weekly and daily production schedules. Success in this role will require the ability to leverage modern data tools (e.g., Python, LLMs, or other AI-based technologies**) and apply mathematical modeling, statistics, or operations research principles to enhance production planning, streamline scheduling, and support cross-functional collaboration.

This is a hybrid position requiring three days per week in our Stratham, NH corporate office.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:

Production Planning

  • Develop and manage production schedules that align with company forecasts, capacity constraints, and inventory goals using data-driven methodologies.
  • Leverage analytics to optimize planning for perishable goods.
  • Coordinate the introduction of new products and integrate into production schedules for timely market launch.
  • Assist in long-range operational planning and scenario modeling to support manufacturing and logistics strategy.

Advanced Analytics & Reporting

  • Analyze large datasets related to production, inventory, and customer demand using Python, SQL, or similar tools.
  • Implement or enhance models using AI/LLMs to support predictive planning and real-time decision-making.
  • Generate and present actionable production planning metrics to leadership.
  • Identify inefficiencies and recommend automation or optimization opportunities.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Serve as a key liaison between Planning, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Sales to align production with business needs.
  • Support Distribution Planning in the effective deployment of finished and semi-finished goods.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Preferred Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Python, or similar languages for data analysis and automation.
  • Familiarity with LLMs or AI-based planning tools.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain, inventory optimization, and production planning concepts.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems and demand planning tools.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, data-centric environment.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related quantitative field.

  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Customer-centric mindset with a proactive approach to problem solving.

Total Rewards:

Compensation Range: $ 72,000 - $94,000

Lindt USA’s salary range reflects market rates based on our size, revenue, and location. Starting pay is determined using a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience as well as market conditions. A bonus and/or long-term incentive may be included as part of this compensation package.
