Position Purpose:

The individual in this position is responsible for executing the inventory deployment process between MFG locations and distribution centers. The individual must work closely with production & supply planners, customer service, Lindt & Sprungli North America (LSNA), and demand planners to adjust to variables in supply and demand, and act with agility to promote high service levels while minimizing costs. The individual is responsible for maintaining appropriate systems and data to facilitate the deployment process and metrics.

This is a hybrid role that requires three days per week in our Stratham, NH corporate office.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:

Deployment Planning

  • Design, plan, and execute the end-to-end physical movement of Finished Goods across our US network—from Lindt’s plants to hubs to warehouses.
  • Responsible for our Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP) master data configuring and maintaining the backbone that powers smart replenishments.
  • Identify items with limited supply at MFG & co-packing locations to allocate & manage inventory deployment to the distribution centers.
  • Manage inventory at distribution centers, identifying aging risks and rebalancing inventory as appropriate and solve issues.
  • Build and run “what-if” scenarios that test and refine our deployment strategy, balancing service, cost, and sustainability.

Strategic Planning & Collaboration

  • Maintain inventory stocking levels & other master data by item at the distribution centers in appropriate Lindt systems
  • Partner with Supply Planning, Transportation, DC Operations, and Customer teamsto proactively be aware of issues that may impact deployment timing.

Analysis

  • Assemble and maintain KPIs including forecast accuracy at DC level, non-standard replenishment shipments, truck utilization, etc.
  • Identify & redistribute forecast allocations between DCs in Planning systems to lessen impact of developing variances
  • Drive adoption and continuous improvement of our planning tools—raise the bar for what’s possible with DRP, TMS, and analytics.
  • Review cuts at distribution centers to analyze & uncover root cause issues and improve the forecast split by collaborating with demand planners

Qualifications & Requirements:

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Identify & redistribute forecast allocations between DCs in Planning systems to lessen impact of developing variances
  • Experience with Distribution Requirement Planning and other tools such as (SAP, IBP, OMP or similar) and TMS platforms.
  • Review cuts at distribution centers to analyze & uncover root cause issues and improve the forecast split by collaborating with demand planners
  • Have a basic understanding of DRP systems and truckload optimization.
  • Experience with network optimization, advanced analytics, or Lean/Six Sigma projects would be a plus.
  • Exposure to omni-channel or e-commerce distribution models would be nice to have

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree (supply chain, logistics, engineering, or similar) required
  • 2+ years of experience in deployment, transportation planning, or distribution.

Total Rewards:

Compensation Range: $72,500 - $94,250
