Sales Analyst - Albertsons
Position Purpose
This position is a key contributor to Lindt’s overall growth, development, and partnership at Albertsons Companies. This person is directly responsible for the analysis and reporting of retail sales (POS) and shipments (COGNOS) figures across the seasonal and non-seasonal businesses. This responsibility includes weekly sales reporting and using data to uncover Division and Store inventory opportunities, improve forecast collaboration, in-depth analysis of market trends and support ED and Seasonal Allocation by Store type/size suggestions. This individual is highly motivated, communicates exceptionally well, builds relationships with key internal / external partners, and takes responsibility for monitoring their reporting for accuracy and quality of analyses provided. This is a critical role to the Lindt Albertsons Team and will have significant Lindt internal as well as Albertsons external responsibilities.
Essential Job Functions/Key Accountabilities
Sales Analysis
- Responsible for analyzing and reporting retail sales results of Lindt seasonal and non-seasonal business on a weekly basis. Maintain a proactive approach to the utilization of a broad set of syndicated analytical tools, including but not limited to IRI (Unify, Panel, etc) and EYC.
- Responsible for analyzing promotional programming and providing insights to internal stakeholders on performance as compared to expectations, LY, competitive program performance and ROI analysis and suggestions.
- Consistently and concisely communicate insights, trends, and opportunities to key internal / external (customer) stakeholders based on retail sales results.
- Utilize EYC and other Albertsons specific data applications to identify opportunities and make recommendations.
- Provide detailed, frequent sales analysis of Lindt items during any given season to understand progress versus YAG, time-share, & expectations. Provide feedback to internal key stakeholders and make recommendations to Team Lead and National Account Manager on how to maximize profitable sales and sell-thru.
- Work with internal Sales Analysts, Marketing, and Customer Service to provide analyses as needed – ad hoc requests, etc.
- Proactively report new item performance to internal stakeholders and make recommendations for future forecast adjustments based on initial performance.
- Provide data support and analysis for all Albertsons Division Calls and Presentations
- Updated AlbCo Planning Tool with actuals on a Monthly Basis and making forecast suggestions based on trends.
Collaboration
- Partner with Lindt Albertsons Team on presentation development for all Line Reviews, Joint Business Planning Meetings, and Division presentations. Assist in the data preparation, call implementation and follow up on all key sales calls (both Corp and Divisions).
- Provide reports to Team Lead and NAM highlighting potential out-of-stock opportunities and future forecasting opportunities – recommend specific action steps to enhance Lindt’s inventory position if needed. Also keep TM and NAM informed of any heavy stock situtations. (Ships vs Sell-thru)
- Collaborate with TEAM to understand what inventory levels look like at the item level in-order to make meaningful recommendations.
- Make data informed recommendations to TEAM on projects and tasks for Retail Team (Premium Retail)
- Work close with Team Lead to submit accurate forecasts to HQ each month (ROFO)

Position Qualifications
Skills & Knowledge
- Proven analytical abilities; ability to interpret complex data/information and make strategic recommendations
- Proficient computer skills

- Excellent written, verbal communication
Experience
Required
- 2-3 years analytical sales experience
- 1-3 years experience with syndicated data (Nielsen/IRI)
Preferred
- 1-3 years experience with Retailer Shopper Data.
- Experience working with Albertsons Companies
Education
- Bachelors Degree

- Travel 10-20%
