Research & Development Process Engineering Intern

Position Purpose
The Lindt USA R&D Intern provides product technology assistance and supports improvement initiatives in production. The R&D Intern divides their time between hands-on experience in a factory setting and research in a lab environment. This position collaborates closely with other members of the R&D team, as well as Manufacturing, to identify and solve technical challenges.
This is an onsite role that requires five days per week in our Stratham, NH corporate office.
What To Expect as a Lindtern:
Our twelve-week Lindternship program offers hands-on experience allowing undergraduate and graduate students to gain practical skills and contribute to projects that directly impact our business. During the summer, interns will be paired with a mentor, attend professional career development workshops/sessions and attend networking events to meet additional team members.
Essential Job Functions/Key Accountabilities
- Understand the key processes of chocolate making at Lindt USA.
- Work closely with projects in both a factory and lab setting to support technical troubleshooting and product improvement.
- Support the implementation of work instructions, processing parameters and operating procedures to assure consistent quality in future production.
- Work closely with Production and Quality Assurance to support process improvement projects.
- Maintain detailed and precise project history records including developmental records, technical reports, specifications, outcomes, observations, and recommendations.

Total Rewards:
Compensation: $20 an hour

Lindt USA’s salary range reflects market rates based on our size, revenue, and location. Starting pay is determined using a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience as well as market conditions. A bonus and/or long-term incentive may be included as part of this compensation package.
