Project Engineer
Position Purpose:
Conduct Infrastructure assessments & analysis
- Analyze the L&S (USA) technical and operational functions and determine opportunities for infrastructure improvements; Conduct research and data analysis in conjunction with collaborating with key stake holders and subject matter experts to identify opportunities that will provide cost effective, long and short-term solutions.
- Conduct feasibility and financial analyses for proposed solutions to accommodate production, packaging, warehouse, facility, safety and QA.
- Develop budgets that support the proposed solutions.
- The types of projects to be justified and implemented can vary and be any/all of the following: replacement, cost savings, capacity, innovation, safety or quality.
Develop and propose viable solutions
- Develop technical solutions for infrastructure-related issues that arise; work directly with internal customers to identify problems and develop viable solutions that address short and long-term concerns.
- Present to management factually supported solutions that include return on investment and the benefits of implementing proposed solutions for improvement.
- Continuously observe areas for plant improvements and present these opportunities to Engineering Manager for ongoing improvement projects.
Project Coordination
- Determine, implement and execute a timeline for development, implementation and follow up on all approved projects; Ensure timelines are met without compromising quality and cost.
- Coordinate engineering and construction projects including bid process and vendor shipment coordination; Coordinate with on-site personnel including construction crews and Lindt employees.
- Source and coordinate vendors, contractors and other service providers as required.
- Work with Supervisors, equipment vendor and/or outside resource to develop training procedure for new equipment.

Qualifications & Requirements:
Experience:
Required
- 5 years’ experience required
Preferred
- Experience in capital improvement project management, with at least 1 million in value, in all phases of capital improvements, i.e. all phases of building expansion, equipment, utilities, support equipment, etc.
- Experience in project and process engineering & project management in a manufacturing environment, food manufacturing environment preferred
Skills & Knowledge:
- Proficient in Excel, Power Point, MS Project, and Word.
- Proficient in AutoCAD.
- Must have solid written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to start, address and prioritize project issues independently and juggle multiple projects with minimal supervision.
- Strong presentation skills
Education:
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering.
Preferred
- In-depth understanding of food technology preferably chocolate manufacturing process required.
