Customer E-Commerce Manager

Position Purpose:

Success starts with a strategic thinker and insightful eCommerce professional who possesses the inner drive to unlock Lindt's growth potential across different retailer's "Click to Mortar" eCommerce platforms, including but not limited to: Walmart, Kroger and Target. The role requires a proven professional with the capacity to operate with a vision for defining eCommerce and Omni-Channel strategies. The strategies are executed cross-functionally in collaboration with Global initiatives and US Marketing and Sales Teams. This person makes a strong business impact by achieving sales and profit targets, while also ensuring the Shoppers experience is seamless, consistent and practical across any platform.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:

Drive Ecommerce Strategy and Execution

  • Define a Lindt eCommerce and Omni-Channel strategy with a longer-term roadmap that is supported by practical, impactful traffic-driving and conversion initiatives.
  • Work with Sales leaders to integrate eCommerce with 'brick and mortar' strategies to develop a comprehensive, omni-channel growth plan.
  • Audit existing customer's eCommerce platforms and partner with Local Teams to implement basic content requirements and functional Shopper enhancements.
  • Ensure a consistent Shopper experience and translate learnings across mobile, tablet, voice, VR and desktop devices.
  • Establish and/or develop internal eCommerce competencies and best practices (tool box), which includes pricing, assortment, and product development leveraging Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
  • Partner with customers to share eCommerce and Omni-Channel best practices and establish Lindt's industry reputation as the go-to leading resource.
  • Emphatically test and learn new approaches to eCommerce that lead to actionable insights and enhances Lindt's digital brand presence.
  • Evaluate different Marketing campaign investments to adopt maximum ROI decisions.
  • Work with Sales leaders to integrate eCommerce with 'brick and mortar' strategies to develop a comprehensive, omni-channel growth plan.

Fiscal Responsibility

  • Achieve ambitious sales and profitability targets.
  • Develop annual budget requirements and identify cross functional resources needed to achieve yearly objectives.
  • Develop and maintain product, assortment and pricing strategy that integrates "Brick & Mortar" plans in place to drive growth across multiple channels and customers.
  • Efficiently leverage Trade Promotion and Marketing funds to maximize return on investment.


Qualifications & Requirements:


  • Minimum of 5 years eCommerce sales and/or marketing experience.
  • Proficient with content development, analytics and storage management.
  • Proven success leveraging Search Engine Optimization analytics to drive revenue generating initiatives.
  • Solid experience working with eCommerce ordering and fulfillment models.

 Skills & Knowledge:

  • Proven interpersonal and fact-based selling and negotiation skills; must be driven and results oriented.
  • Fluent in digital, eCommerce and Omni-Channel capabilities that drive on-line purchase behavior.
  • Ability to work and collaborate cross functionally and influence change to achieve desired results.
  • Curious and creative problem solver who can rapidly pivot based on changing industry dynamics
  • Excellent verbal, written and formal presentation skills.


  • Bachelor's Degree required; MBA preferred

Other Requirements:

  • Travel 10% - 15%
